Who is responsible
HBTT is made by Filipe Martins, who is responsible for the information described in this policy and is called “we” here.

HBTT is still in development. This policy describes the app as it’s built today, and will be checked again against the release version.
What the app stores on your devices
The app has no account and no server of ours behind it. It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking, and no third-party code. It doesn’t send your goals, entries or Health readings to us or to anyone else.
To work, it stores the following on your device:
- Goals and history
- Goal names, icons, targets, schedules and groups, plus your notes, the entries you log and your progress history.
- Apple Health readings
- With your permission, HBTT reads only what your goals use, from these measurements: steps, sleep, exercise minutes, active energy, stand hours, time in daylight, resting heart rate and workouts. It saves the resulting value for each goal period, so your progress appears straight away and longer ranges stay available.
- Screen Time choices
- If you block apps or set a daily limit, Apple gives HBTT private tokens for what you chose. HBTT never learns the app names. It saves those tokens, your block plans and how much of each daily limit was used.
- Settings and timers
- Your preferences, your running timers and a record of the notifications already sent, so that none repeats.
We use none of this for advertising, and Health readings are used only to show your progress and act on your goals, such as lifting a block once a goal is met.
Where Apple’s features are involved
- Apple Watch
- Your iPhone sends a summary of your goals and progress to your paired Apple Watch over Apple’s watch connection. The Watch keeps that summary and sends back what you log there.
- Lock Screen, widgets and notifications
- Goal names and progress can appear in widgets, Live Activities and on the Lock Screen, where someone holding your device may see them. Notifications are created on the device, not sent from a server. They can show a goal’s name, but not a Health measurement.
- Spotlight and Siri
- Goals are added to your device’s search index by default, and notes only if you turn that on. You can change both under Siri & Search in HBTT’s Settings. Apple handles Siri and Shortcuts requests under its own terms.
- Goal drafts
- If you describe a goal in a sentence, Apple’s on-device model writes the draft on your device. Your words aren’t sent to us.
- Share cards
- A share card is drawn on your device. A photo you pick is used for that card, and HBTT doesn’t save it. The card goes only where you choose to send it, and that service’s own policy then applies.
- Backups
- HBTT doesn’t use iCloud sync. If you back up your device to iCloud or a computer, the backup may include HBTT’s data, according to your Apple settings.
- App Store information
- Apple distributes the app and handles any purchase. Apple gives developers sales reports and, if you choose to share analytics with developers in your device settings, crash reports and combined usage statistics. These come from Apple, and HBTT adds nothing of yours to them. See Apple’s privacy policy.
Your choices in the app
- Apple Health: change what HBTT can read at any time in the Health app or in your device’s Settings. Goals that need a measurement you turn off stop updating, and readings already saved stay until you delete the app.
- Screen Time, notifications and alarms: HBTT asks when a feature first needs them. You can turn them off in your device’s Settings.
- Goals, entries and notes: you can delete entries and notes one at a time. A deleted goal stays in Recently Deleted for 30 days, or until you delete it sooner there. It’s then removed for good, along with its entries and notes.
- Everything: deleting HBTT from a device removes what it stored there, including saved Health readings. Do this on each device you use. Your data in Apple Health itself isn’t affected.
Because your data isn’t on any server of ours, we can’t look it up, restore it or delete it for you.
This website
This website has no cookies, analytics, advertising or visitor accounts. The interactive example runs in your browser with sample values, and doesn’t read Health data, device usage or your installed apps.
The website is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a Google service. To deliver and protect its pages, Google processes technical data such as your IP address, browser details and the page you asked for. Firebase’s privacy information explains how.
Links to Apple, research papers and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
The waitlist
The waitlist is closed, and nothing is being collected through it. If it opens, the form will ask for your email address and your permission to send launch updates. We’d store these in a Firebase database, with your language, the time, the page you signed up from and which consent wording you saw. To limit abuse, we’d also keep a keyed hash of your IP address for a short time.
Before the waitlist opens, this section will say where addresses are kept, for how long, and how to remove yours.
If you write to us
We use what you send to answer you, and keep it for as long as we need to help you and handle any follow-up. Our email provider also processes the message.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, we rely on:
- Delivering this website
- Our legitimate interest in running a website that works and is secure.
- The waitlist, if it opens
- Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Answering your messages
- Our legitimate interest in replying to you, or steps you asked us to take.
We don’t receive the data the app keeps on your devices. You grant its Health and Screen Time access yourself, through Apple’s permission screens.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you, to receive a copy, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent. Write to us to use these rights. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
For the app’s data, use the choices described above, since it’s on your devices and not with us.
Children
HBTT isn’t directed at children, and the waitlist isn’t meant for anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If the way HBTT handles data changes, for example by adding iCloud sync, we’ll update this policy before that change reaches you, and change the date at the top of this page.
